Une association française de protection de l'enfance a mis en garde lundi contre les dérives pornographiques d'un site internet russe créé il y a trois mois, Chatroulette.com, devenu très populaire auprès des jeunes.

«Ce site d'utilisation très (trop ?) simple, permet d'être connecté instantanément, au hasard, suivant le principe de la roulette russe, avec un ou une inconnu(e) dans le monde entier, par webcam interposée, et de dialoguer en direct. Nul besoin d'inscription, ni de paiement et, bien sûr, aucune censure», explique l'association e-Enfance.
En quelques clics sur ce site, plusieurs membres de l'association, qui entend protéger enfants et adolescents des risques rencontrés sur l'internet, sont tombés sur des scènes pornographiques.
«Chatroulette.com est tout à fait inapproprié aux mineurs malgré son appellation attirante pour les plus jeunes», prévient e-Enfance sur son site.

Si le créateur de Chatroulette a pu agir en toute bonne foi, «il y a un risque qu'une population marginale envahisse son site et le récupère», estime Justine Atlan, directrice d'e-Enfance.
L'association entend se mettre en contact avec les éditeurs de contrôle parental pour évaluer les possibilités de filtrer ce site.
Selon le New York Times, le site, lancé en novembre, a été créé par Andrey Ternovskiy, lycéen russe de 17 ans, et attire jusqu'à 20 000 utilisateurs par jour.
Le jeune homme a expliqué au journal que la plupart des utilisateurs se trouvaient aux États-Unis et s'est dit «conscient que certains utilisent le site de manière pas très nette», ce à quoi il se dit «fermement opposé».
